Dermal fillers are injectable gels, most often hyaluronic acid, that restore lost volume, soften lines, and refine facial contours like the lips, cheeks, and jawline. At 7 Seas Medical Spa we offer Juvederm hyaluronic acid fillers, Sculptra collagen stimulator, and Skinvive skin booster, injected by a physician assistant with oversight from a board-certified plastic surgeon.

Dermal Fillers

Volume where you want it, subtly.

Dr. Troy Austin, MD, board-certified plastic surgeon in Augusta, GA

Medically reviewed by Dr. Troy Austin, MD — double board-certified plastic surgeon ◆ Updated July 2026

Dermal fillers are gel-based injectables placed beneath the skin to add volume, soften folds, and define features such as the lips, cheeks, chin, and jawline. Most fillers are made of hyaluronic acid, a substance your body already produces, which gives instant, natural-looking volume and can be dissolved if needed. At 7 Seas Medical Spa we carry the Juvederm family of hyaluronic acid fillers, plus two related injectables: Sculptra, which stimulates your own collagen over time, and Skinvive, a skin booster for hydration and glow. Because 7 Seas is part of a board-certified plastic surgery practice, your plan is built and injected with real medical oversight.

Team
Divya, PA-C Cosmetic Injector
Your provider, backed by a surgeon

Skilled injector, surgeon oversight.

Your dermal fillers at 7 Seas Medical Spa are injected by Divya Gopal, PA-C, a licensed Physician Assistant and cosmetic injector who has practiced since 2021, and the injectables program is supervised by Dr. Troy Austin, who is certified by both the American Board of Plastic Surgery and the American Board of Surgery.

Filler is about facial anatomy and restraint: the right product, in the right plane, in the right amount, so you look refreshed rather than overdone. Being part of a plastic surgery practice means real medical oversight and honest guidance about which filler fits, when Sculptra or Skinvive is the better tool, and when filler is not the answer at all.

Good filler is invisible. People should notice you look rested and balanced, not that you had something done. 7 Seas Medical Spa

What it treats

What dermal fillers treat.

Fillers are used to add volume and definition across the face, tailored to what will keep you looking like yourself.

Lips

Lip filler adds subtle volume, shape, and hydration to the lips and can soften fine lip lines. The goal at 7 Seas is a balanced, natural result, not an overfilled look.

Cheeks & midface

Cheek filler restores volume that is lost with age, lifting the midface and softening the transition into the under-eye area for a rested, youthful look.

Under eyes & tear troughs

Carefully placed filler can soften hollows and shadows under the eyes. This is a delicate area, which is exactly why it belongs with an experienced injector and medical oversight.

Jawline & chin

Filler along the jawline and chin adds definition and balance to the lower face and profile, a popular option for both women and men.

Smile lines & folds

Fillers soften the nasolabial folds and marionette lines that run from the nose to the mouth and chin, smoothing deeper creases without surgery.

One family, many areas

Is it right for you?

Am I a candidate?

Most healthy adults who want to restore lost volume, define a feature, or soften folds are good candidates for dermal fillers. The best treatment depends on your goal: hyaluronic acid filler for instant volume and shape, Sculptra for gradual, all-over collagen support, or Skinvive for hydration and glow. Fillers are usually avoided during pregnancy and breastfeeding, with certain allergies, or during active skin infections. The honest answer for you comes from a consultation, where your injector reviews your anatomy and goals and recommends the right product, or tells you if filler is not the right step.

Our injectables

The fillers we offer.

We carry three distinct injectables, because they do genuinely different things. Matching the right one to your goal is the whole point of a consultation.

Juvederm, hyaluronic acid filler

Juvederm is a family of hyaluronic acid gels used to add volume and shape, with different formulas designed for different areas, such as the lips, cheeks, and folds. Hyaluronic acid gives natural-looking volume right away, holds moisture in the skin, and can be dissolved if you ever want a change. Results typically last several months to a couple of years depending on the product and area.

Sculptra, collagen stimulator

Sculptra is technically not a traditional filler. It is a poly-L-lactic acid collagen stimulator: instead of adding instant volume, it prompts your own skin to build collagen gradually over the months after treatment. It is usually done as a short series and gives a subtle, natural restoration of fullness across the face that can last up to about two years. Because it works with your own collagen, results appear slowly rather than immediately.

Skinvive, skin booster

Skinvive is a hyaluronic acid skin booster rather than a volumizing filler. It is injected as microdroplets into the skin to improve smoothness, hydration, and glow, especially on the cheeks. It does not add contour or volume the way traditional filler does; think of it as a refresh for skin quality. Results build over a few weeks and last several months.

Different tools, one plan. Your injector helps you choose, and often combines them for a balanced result.

Investment

How much do dermal fillers cost in Augusta?

Hyaluronic acid fillers are usually priced per syringe, and most areas take one to two syringes. Sculptra is priced per vial as a series, and Skinvive per treatment. Your injector maps a plan and gives you an exact quote at your consultation, so you know the cost before anything is done.

Juvederm (HA filler), per syringe $425–$825
Sculptra, per vial (series) Quoted at consult
Skinvive, per treatment Quoted at consult

Filler pricing depends on the product and how many syringes your plan needs. Ranges are estimates and are confirmed at your consultation. Ask about current specials and packages. Financing is available through Cherry, CareCredit, PatientFi, and Alle Financing.

What to expect

Natural results, on your timeline.

With hyaluronic acid fillers you see volume the same day, while Sculptra and Skinvive build more gradually.

The visit

After a consultation and mapping, your injector cleans the area and uses a fine needle or cannula, often with numbing built into the product or applied first, so most people are comfortable. A typical filler visit takes about thirty to sixty minutes.

Downtime

Most people return to their day right away. Mild swelling, tenderness, or bruising can happen and usually settles within a few days. Your injector will share simple aftercare to help results settle.

How long it lasts

  • Hyaluronic acid filler: several months up to about two years, by product and area.
  • Sculptra: builds over two to three months and can last up to about two years.
  • Skinvive: a smoother, hydrated look for several months.

Results vary from person to person, and a touch-up or maintenance plan keeps things looking consistent.

Subtle by design. The aim is a refreshed version of you, not a different face.

Good to know

Dermal filler Questions.

What are dermal fillers?

Dermal fillers are gel-based injectables placed beneath the skin to restore volume, soften folds, and define features like the lips, cheeks, and jawline. Most are made of hyaluronic acid, a substance your body already produces, which gives natural-looking volume and can be dissolved if needed.

They do opposite jobs. Fillers add volume and shape to areas that have lost fullness. Botox and Dysport relax the muscles that cause expression lines. Many people combine the two, and your injector can plan both together.

Not in the traditional sense. Sculptra is a poly-L-lactic acid collagen stimulator. Rather than adding instant volume like a hyaluronic acid filler, it prompts your own skin to build collagen gradually over the months after treatment, for a subtle, natural restoration that can last up to about two years.

Skinvive is a hyaluronic acid skin booster rather than a volumizing filler. It is injected as microdroplets into the skin to improve smoothness, hydration, and glow, especially on the cheeks. It does not add contour the way traditional filler does.

Most people find fillers comfortable. Many hyaluronic acid fillers include a numbing agent, and we can apply topical numbing first. You may feel a pinch or pressure during the injection.

Hyaluronic acid fillers typically last several months up to about two years depending on the product and area. Sculptra results can last up to about two years, and Skinvive lasts several months. Results vary from person to person.

Hyaluronic acid fillers such as Juvederm can be adjusted or dissolved with an enzyme called hyaluronidase, which is a real advantage if you want a change. Sculptra and Skinvive are not reversible in the same way, which is why careful planning matters.

Common areas include the lips, cheeks and midface, under eyes and tear troughs, jawline and chin, and the folds around the nose and mouth. Your injector recommends the right product for each area.

Most people return to their day right away. Mild swelling, tenderness, or bruising can occur and usually settles within a few days. Your injector will share simple aftercare tips.

Hyaluronic acid fillers are usually priced per syringe, and most areas take one to two syringes. Sculptra is priced per vial as a series, and Skinvive per treatment. You will get an exact quote at your consultation, and financing is available.

Divya is truly the best! I have never been to a medical spa where someone took so much time to explain every single detail, what she was doing, why she was doing it, and what to expect. Her knowledge and professionalism immediately made me feel comfortable and confident. She never rushed me, answered all of my questions, and made the entire experience feel so personal. Divya, you’ve gained a customer for life, please don’t ever leave🥹🩵🙏🏻 In a smaller area like Augusta, it’s incredibly hard to find someone who is truly knowledgeable and passionate about what they do. I can honestly say I finally found my person😘My results look so natural, exactly what I wanted, and I couldn’t be happier. Thank you, Divya! I can’t recommend you enough❤️😘

Divya is truly the best!! She's honest, knowledgeable, and really listens. I always feel comfortable trusting her recommendations - so much so, I drive from Athens to Augusta just to have my treatments done by her. I've never had anything but a great experience with Divya.

DIVYA IS THE QUEEN OF INJECTIONS! Went to 7 seas about a month ago and got Botox in my neck and parts of my face. Divya was so knowledgeable and gave me advice on where to inject and how much. She knew exactly what I needed without going overboard. Now that it’s fully set in, I could not be happier specifically with my neck as well as my lip flip!
