A small incision is made to insert a laser fiber that liquefies fat for gentle removal, stimulating collagen production to improve skin elasticity. Local anesthesia is used, and the procedure typically takes 1–2 hours.
Patients experience minimal downtime, with most resuming normal activities within 1–2 days. A compression garment is worn for about a week to support healing. Results become visible within a week, with continued improvement over 3–6 months as collagen production enhances skin tone and texture.

SmartLipo™ is a better option than liposuction for many patients because it produces better results with less downtime and discomfort. Additionally, SmartLipo™ is unique in that it is able to tighten the skin during treatment, which is not always possible with traditional liposuction.
SmartLipo™ is performed with local anesthesia, so there is no pain or discomfort whatsoever during the treatment process. However, it is common for patients to experience minor bruising and swelling following the treatment, which may cause some discomfort for the days immediately following a SmartLipo™ procedure.
After a SmartLipo™ procedure, you will begin to notice results within a week. As the body recovers from treatment, these results may continue to improve for as long as three to six months.
