Hair Transplant in Augusta, GA
Why consider a Hair Transplant?
Balding, particularly in men, is a natural process, and it may or may not detract from your appearance. But in many cases, balding happens prematurely in patterns that do not flatter the face or appearance. In those instances, a hair transplant procedure can replace some of the lost hair and generate new hair growth in areas where hair growth has discontinued. A hair transplant can restore a full head of hair if you so desire it, or fill in patches that are thin and sparse. For many, the youthful image of a full head of hair can produce a radical improvement and rejuvenation to the face and overall appearance.
HOW IS A HAIR TRANSPLANT TREATMENT PERFORMED?
Dr. Austin skillfully performs NeoGraft™ follicular unit extraction (FUE), the most innovative procedure for hair transplant currently available. Typically, the procedure is performed by removing a strip of hair-bearing skin from a discreet area of the scalp that can easily be camouflaged. The strip is then split into hundreds of smaller grafts of “follicular units.” Some of these tiny grafts may contain up to four or five hairs, but most contain only one or two hairs. These individual, minute, follicular units are then inserted into tiny incisions in the target areas where hair growth has ceased. This precise and laborious technique allows Dr. Austin to precisely craft each individual hair transplant procedure, reproducing natural hair growth patterns in each patient.
