How is Beautifill® Performed?
The Beautifill® procedure is a micro fat transfer treatment commonly used in a Brazilian butt lift but uses up-to-date technological advances to cut down on recovery time and improve fat survival after grafting. Before your procedure, Dr. Austin will administer a local or general anesthetic depending on the extent of your Beautifill® treatment. Laser energy will then be used to gently loosen fat from problem areas such as the abdomen, hips, flanks and thighs. The live fat cells are then purified within the closed harvesting system before being injected into your desired treatment areas. Popular areas to have the fat injected are the cheeks, around the mouth, and into the lips, the hands, the breasts, and the buttocks.
What is Recovery Like After Beautifill®?
Following your Beautifill® treatment, Dr. Austin recommend you take 3 to 7 days off work to fully recover from your treatment. If you have fat transferred to the butt or chest, it is important that you not put pressure on those areas for the first two weeks following the procedure. Sitting on your bottom or lying flat on your chest may compromise the results of your treatment. If you have fat transferred into the face, we recommend being gentle on the face and not rubbing or massaging the treated areas for two weeks following your procedure. Swelling and bruising are common and typically resolve on their own within a week or two.

Is Beautifill® the Same as a Fat Transfer?
The Beautifill® treatment is much like a fat transfer, but it involves specialized fat transfer technology to ensure a safer, faster and more fulfilling treatment. Beautifill® still offers all of the body contouring benefits of a traditional fat transfer, but with increased fat graft survival.
